For most applications in China, boiling chlorination is used ; 4. Acidic water and alkaline water are generated during the neutralization step in the production process ; 5. We have dealt with mixed wastewater containing chlorobenzene using biological treatment. For your wastewater, it seems that the salinity issue is quite significant; if there is other wastewater available, it is recommended to combine them for treatment. If the emission requirements are not high, direct biochemical treatment can also be used. Regarding pollutants, if it is trichloroacetone, hydrolytic acidification is required.

May I ask the two people upstairs about the quality of your wastewater – things like COD, BOD, etc., as well as its components (the main substances present). Do you aim to ensure that the wastewater is discharged in compliance with standards, or do you prefer to reuse it or recover certain components from it? Clarifying this will help us discuss the matter more effectively.
To meet the emission standards, the benzene content must be very low, below 0.1PPM. What methods are available to reduce the benzene level? (The method of dilution goes without saying, haha)
Don’t you recycle benzene in your production? I know that in aniline manufacturing companies, benzene is recycled, so very little benzene is emitted
The acidic water contains ferric chloride; could hydrogen peroxide be added to carry out oxidation using the Fenton method? However, it seems that there is an excess of both ferric chloride and acid. The acid in question is likely hydrochloric acid; a membrane process can be used to concentrate the acid to 20%, to see if there are any other uses for it. However, removing ferric chloride from it also presents a problem – adding alkali will neutralize the acid, which is troublesome. Alkaline water contains 10% alkali, so it should be recycled; I wonder if there are any organic substances in it as well.
