After opening the image, a dialog box appears showing proxy information; no proxy graphic is displayed. What’s going on here? I didn’t encounter this issue when opening other drawings. Does this have any impact on the drawings or the computer?
There’s no impact; just turn it off :lol
Choose the option to display proxy information; it has no impact on files or the computer, so don’t worry. I encounter this situation often as well! :handshake
It has no effect; just close the dialog box
Generally, this situation occurs mainly due to the lack of the corresponding plugin. If the source drawing was created using software developed based on other CAD programs such as Tenshin and was saved without undergoing conversion, you will need to install the corresponding plugin in your CAD program in order to open it; otherwise, some blocks may not be displayed.
There’s no impact; it’s probably because the version of the drawing you opened differs from the version used for drawing it.
Custom objects are object types created by ObjectARX (AutoCAD runtime extensions) applications, and they typically possess more specific functions than standard AutoCAD objects. Custom objects include parameterized solids (Autodesk Mechanical Desktop), intelligent interactive door symbols (Autodesk Architectural Desktop), polygonal objects (Autodesk Map), and associated dimension objects (AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT). Besides Autodesk, many software vendors use ObjectARX to write programs that can create graphical and non-graphical custom objects, which are useful in AutoCAD applications. Because your computer has a different software environment from others’ and lacks such ARX programs, certain graphic objects cannot be displayed.
