Flammable materials (mostly toluene) contain a small amount of hydrochloric acid. What material should be used for the pipes in such designs? Stainless steel and carbon steel are not resistant to corrosion by hydrochloric acid; non-metallic pipes are an option, but there are concerns regarding static electricity issues I appreciate your advice!
Plastic pipes with a stainless steel lining can be used; if there are concerns regarding static electricity, grounded conductive materials can be incorporated into the design, such as wires for grounding at the flange connections.
At normal and positive pressures, linings such as 4F or polyethylene are used; for negative pressures, coated pipes are chosen... below 100 degrees... When designing a factory, grounding points must be installed at certain distances from any flammable materials... This is something that must be taken into account. Additionally, for temperatures above 100 degrees and for long-term use, DC pipes should be selected... Last edited by youth10 on 2008-1-31 14:02]
