Problems encountered when submitting the commissioning documents: the basic horizontal thrust of the pig? 10,000 N was applied. How is it calculated, or is it data provided by the manufacturer?
I would like to know the answer to this question as well. What comes to mind is the axial stress caused by internal pressure; I’m not sure what other factors might be involved
I want to know this question too; could some experts who understand it explain it? And how is this driving force provided?

In long-distance pipelines, pigging devices are primarily used to remove wax and impurities from the pipe walls as well as to create separation between different sections of the pipeline. As long as there is a pressure difference between the two ends of the pipeline, the pigging device will move through it. In my opinion, the thrust generated depends on the specifications of the pipeline; for example, in a pipeline with dimensions of 720*8 mm, a pressure difference of 0.1 MPa results in a thrust of nearly 4 tons. The cross-sectional area of such a pipeline is calculated as 3.14*D^2/4, which equals 0.389 square meters. Since 0.1 MPa corresponds to 10,000 kg/m^2, the total thrust is thus nearly 4 tons.
