I want to get a design certification – what’s the process like???
The design of pressure vessels is generally not part of the assessment; instead, it is determined directly by the company. Take the exam only after review```
Talk to your supervisor and ask him to send you an appointment letter; that’s all that’s needed.
Guys upstairs, we need to understand that there is a fundamental difference between a design certificate and the appointment of a designer by a company. To obtain a certificate as a pressure vessel designer, one must pass an exam organized by the Provincial Special Equipment Management Association; those who pass the exam are not issued certificates as designers or reviewers – instead, **the association only keeps records of them. The exam content is also quite simple, consisting of basic knowledge; it’s sufficient to review more on topics such as 150, 151, tolerance standards, towers, horizontal equipment, and component standards on a regular basis!
Will there also be an exam for registered pressure vessel design engineers organized in the future? Hehe
It seems that individuals cannot take the design certification exam; only organizations with legal person status can apply to take it.
Designers do not need to obtain a certification; if they wish to, they can participate in provincial or **-level auditor training programs to get such certification.
