Recently, the desulfurization regeneration tank in our company has suffered severe corrosion; it is almost unusable after only one and a half years of use. If anyone has encountered this situation or knows the reason, please share some advice. Thank you!

There are many types of corrosion, and in most cases, corrosion in storage tanks is caused by problems with the material used. However, the possibility of electrochemical corrosion and environmental corrosion cannot be ruled out.
The causes of corrosion can only be further analyzed and determined by understanding the actual operating conditions. If it is confirmed that corrosion is unavoidable, it is recommended that new desulfurization tanks be made of stainless steel or of carbon steel with internal anti-corrosion treatment.

Another possibility is that when you designed it, the wall thickness of the cylinder was chosen to be too thin
