In order to make full use of the existing mirabilite mines, improve resource utilization, and reduce energy consumption, Jiangsu Salt Industry Group Company, Hongze Yinzhu Chemical Group Company, Indonesia’s Ocean Company, and others jointly invested 320 million yuan to establish Jiangsu Salt Industry Group Hongze Salt Chemical Co., Ltd., which launched a new project with an annual production capacity of 1 million tons of nitrates. Hongze County is rich in mirabilite resources; however, in the process of transforming these resource advantages into economic benefits, some mirabilite mines with too high a sodium chloride content have become unused waste mines. The nitrate co-production project utilizes world-leading nitrate separation technology, and by making use of 40 old wells in the Hongze area, it reduces production costs while enabling full utilization of the sodium chloride resource present in these old wells. At present, all the main production equipment for this project has been installed, the process pipelines for nitrate production have been largely configured, and the construction of the electrical and thermal control systems is in its final stages ； The boiler has passed the hydrostatic test, and the on-site fabrication and installation of the brine extraction and transportation pipelines have been completed. The project is expected to be finished and put into trial production by the end of March this year. It is understood that once this project comes online, it will not only increase the recovery rate of mirabilite resources in Hongze County but also create more than 400 new job opportunities, generating annual sales revenue of 800 million yuan. # ， ， &
