I tried to come back and post a reply later, but seeing that the thread had been closed, I had no choice but to start a new thread. Actually, I fully agree with what the moderator intended; their motives were good. Some people say that having an alias allows them to engage in fraud and disrupt the scoring standards. So if we’re good friends (assuming we’re in the same lab), we can also ‘cheat’ on each other; there’s no need to use fake accounts or take risky actions. These low doses are something everyone can think of; it then depends on whether what you do is worth it. The internet is a virtual world, and ratings are also virtual; they can’t be used as food or money. You’ve obtained so much ill-gotten wealth – don’t you feel any guilt? Equal pay for equal work; one must put in effort before expecting rewards. According to the standards set by the moderators, there are certainly flaws, but what matters most is the two words: ‘self-discipline’. This is somewhat similar to our regular exams; cheating is not encouraged, but some people still try to pull tricks. Personally, I think the members of this forum are all postgraduate students or experts in various fields; regarding such ‘fraudulent activities’, we should stay honest and upright. In short, I won’t do such ‘shortcut’ things; I guess you would despise them as well, right?
