Later, I consulted the Lanxiao manufacturer and they said that the best concentration of hydrochloric acid during regeneration is 6-8%! However, our resin tower has two towers, only one of which uses their resin, and the two towers are controlled by a shared PLC program! ! Furthermore, is the 6-8% they said too high? Excessive acid and alkali concentration will cause the expansion and contraction coefficient of the resin to increase and cause resin damage. 1. Our acid concentration is 7%; 2. The acid concentration should not be too high. When it is higher than 10%, it will have an impact on the regeneration process. ; 3. When the acid concentration is high, the volume of the resin changes greatly, which can easily cause high bed resistance and uneven distribution.
May I ask which resin your company uses?
It is recommended to adjust the acid concentration to 5%-5.5%. Although theoretically there will be some damage to the resin, it is actually very small and can improve the regeneration effect!
The recommended acid concentration is 7%, according to the parameters provided by the manufacturer. Personally, I feel that there is little difference between 4% and 7% acid concentration on the resin.
Various brands of resin have different requirements for the acid-base concentration during regeneration. It is recommended to consult the resin supplier before making a decision.
