These days, oxygen is generally represented by blue and nitrogen by yellow. Are you referring to equipment? There shouldn’t be a standard! But they are all painted white. Last edited by super1 on 2008-2-5 08:13]
General pipeline painting standards for the air separation industry: (For reference) Sequence Number, Name of the gas/liquid transported, Pipeline color, Color band: 1 Air, Dark blue; 2 Oxygen, Light blue; 3 Nitrogen, Light **; 4 Purged nitrogen, Brown; 5 Argon, Silver-gray; 6 Steam, Aluminum; 7 Hydrogen, Red and White; 8 Coal gas, Black; 9 Heating/defrosting gas, Red and Black; 10 Water supply, Green; 11 Sewage water, Green and Black; 12 Oil (inlet), **; 13 Oil (outlet), **, Black
The painting standards in the air separation industry are different from those in the chemical industry

Nitrogen is medium**. Stainless steel pipes are not painted; color markers are applied to the pipes
Of course, I’ve never heard of painting stainless steel pipes!
Some design institutes have different coloring standards from those in the **specifications!
