At our company, the output of synthetic ammonia exceeds the yield specified on the compressor’s nameplate, but the specific energy consumption is too high. How can we start by improving the management of raw material coal in order to achieve energy savings and reduced consumption?
At the very least, the quality of coal should be ensured, with its carbon content and ash content meeting the required standards； The coal quality should be stable; it is possible to use a mixture of new coal, old coal, and coal from different mines ； The particle size should be graded ； Control inventory reasonably to reduce storage losses, and try not to store items outdoors. It’s more important to follow the rules in everything!
The coal quality used for entry must meet standard requirements; the ash content should be as low as possible, and the moisture content must also be low； After screening, it can be used in separate furnaces according to particle size; make good use of the small-grained coal and try to avoid mixing it with other coals during combustion ； Strengthen coal yard management and avoid open-air stacking to reduce fragmentation and losses.
