Due to poor transportation from the mainland to East China, the supply of methanol in East China is still tight. The mainstream market price is stable at 3,200-3,450 yuan/ton, but the market transactions are relatively light. Most traders quote 3,250-3,450 yuan/ton for cans shipped from the port, and they are reluctant to sell. The mainstream negotiations are at 3,200-3,420 yuan/ton. The mainstream price for canning in Jiangsu is 3200-3350 yuan/ton, and the actual transaction is also around this. ; Due to transportation problems and downstream manufacturers basically having holidays in Zhejiang, sales have basically stagnated. The market in South China is stable, and the mainstream quotation is 3,350-3,690 yuan/ton. Due to bad weather, methanol truck shipments in Central China are difficult, and the arrival time is uncertain. ; Methanol shipments in northwest China have been suspended due to the "Spring Festival Transport". At the same time, the quantity of imported/domestic methanol at South China ports is extremely limited, and the spot supply of methanol in South China is still tight. On the downstream side, although formaldehyde companies and some dimethyl ether companies have suspended production for holidays recently, there are still a few buyers who have replenishment needs. Therefore, their ex-can price is 3650-3700 yuan/ton, and the actual mainstream negotiation is 3650-3690 yuan/ton. Methanol prices in the North China market have risen slightly, with mainstream quotations rising by 50 yuan/ton to 2,250-2,600 yuan/ton. As the Spring Festival approaches, downstream buyers begin to prepare small quantities of goods, and I heard that some companies have shipped some goods to East China, so the inventory pressure on companies has eased.
