During the maintenance of my hydrogenation unit, it is necessary to remove and replace the catalyst as well as the internal components in the reactor. Let’s discuss how to protect the steel ring grooves from damage during these construction activities.
After removing the steel ring gasket, first clean the impurities from within the groove, then apply glycerin, and finally cover the reactor flange with a 4mm aluminum plate, bending the edges inward and outward to match the shape.
