Methanol is a volatile liquid; although measures such as insulation are taken, losses still occur, and these losses cannot be measured. 2. When methanol is injected into gas wells, ordinary water meters are commonly used, resulting in significant measurement errors. Due to the large annual consumption of methanol in the gas field, the associated losses must be taken into account in the costs. Install a scale by oneself to measure the quantity of goods entering the warehouse. Install a mass flow meter to measure the consumption volume. Methanol is a low-value product; if investing in it, one can do some calculations to determine whether it’s necessary to acquire such equipment.
