The material selection of the pump, the content of the medium (acetic acid), the temperature of the medium, whether it contains solid particles and other substances, etc., all need to be considered. The medium is acetic acid. If the temperature is not too high, it is ok to use 316L. However, the material strength of 316L is low. If the shaft uses 316L, you should pay attention to the requirement for a thicker shaft diameter (generally, the shaft is matched with 304).

If it is only used in acetic acid below 150 degrees, 316L is fine. However, if there are other media in acetic acid, such as HI, or the pump is a high-speed pump, hastelloy alloy is generally used.
