In some older domestic fertilizer factories, the frontline workers work on a 5-shift system; in some cases, it’s even a 6-shift system. Each shift has a large number of employees. However, in newer factories, a 4-shift system is used, and the number of employees per shift has decreased. Managers require employees to be multi-skilled, with each shift having at most 8–9 people, and in some cases up to 10. I would like to ask what kind of shift systems are in use at the factories where your friends work. Even in a 4-shift system, there are many different ways to arrange those shifts. What do you think is the most reasonable shift pattern that is best for people’s rest and health?
When I first started driving, it was a 3-shift system with 3 rotations per day, meaning 16 hours of work and 8 hours of rest. Once it starts, it’s a 4-shift, 3-day rotation system; rest time is only calculated on an hourly basis – 6 days of work followed by 48 hours of rest!
I work in Shift 4, with a 12-hour shift followed by 24 hours of rest; after working 8 shifts, I get 4.5 days off

A four-shift, three-day rotation will suffice, and it also complies with the ** eight-hour workday rule. People who work shift work often complain that they don’t have time to do this or that, and over the course of a year, all they feel is exhaustion. But most companies don’t do this because it increases production costs.
