Seeking information on the testing parameters and methods for the raw salt used in chlor-alkali production; are these the same for diaphragm cells and ion-exchange membrane cells? What’s the difference? Additionally, I am seeking information on the testing criteria and methods for soda ash-grade salt; are these criteria less stringent than those for chlor-alkali grade salt? There is no difference in the requirements for raw salt between diaphragm and ion exchange membranes; rather, the specifications for the refined brine vary, which necessitates the use of different brine refinement techniques. There are relevant posts on the forum – be sure to check them out.
There should be no problem with the components that can be removed by primary and secondary brine. What requires more attention, however, are those components that cannot be handled during production, such as heavy metal ions and SiO2, as they can affect the ion exchange membrane and electrodes. I also need the guidance of relevant experts.
