Why do some pressure gauge pointers have a straight section, while others don’t? When is it appropriate to use a pointer with straight segments?
The tip of the pointer in high-precision pressure gauges with high accuracy is flat and straight.

Is what the original poster is referring to the straight line at the front of the pointer of the precision pressure gauge mentioned on the second floor? If so, precision pressure gauges (with an accuracy level of 0.2 or 0.1) are mainly used in calibration laboratories to verify pressure gauges installed in the field, which have a relatively lower accuracy level of 1.5.
