One of the double-suction pumps in our workshop needs to have its packing seal replaced with a mechanical seal. I would like to ask experts how to determine the appropriate model for a mechanical seal and what considerations should be taken into account when selecting one. I am considering using a mechanical seal with a single face.

Our company uses the Borgmann M7N single-face, unbalanced type with arbitrary rotation direction; moving part: YWN8, stationary ring: YG6, auxiliary seal: NBR; springs and metal components: 304
The dimensions of the shaft and those of the sealing chamber also need to be specified
The mechanical seal must be selected based on the diameter of the pump’s main shaft, and changing the mechanical seal requires remaking the end cover as well
