Are pressure pipelines such as those for nitrogen required to have relevant certifications?

The operating pressures of the nitrogen, compressed air, and steam pipelines in our plant are all above 1 kilogram; according to the requirements of relevant pipeline regulations and standards, certification is required for such pipelines. However, none of these pipelines have obtained such certification. I’m not sure whether this approach is correct. Were there any properly executed borderline moves?

Only the engineering installation units need to obtain certifications; your using units only need to submit themselves to supervision by the relevant authorities for the special equipment and facilities in use
Pipelines with an inner diameter greater than 150 mm are considered pressure pipelines and must undergo supervision and inspection.

A design without a license is an illegal design, and its installation without a license is an illegal installation. To try to find loopholes in such situations is a clear display of disregard for the law; such an attitude is unacceptable.
If it is greater than 25 mm and greater than 1 kilogram, it is considered a pressure pipeline and certification is required. But our company also did not enforce this strictly; the key issue is that no testing was carried out at a testing laboratory. Logically, imaging is not necessary when the temperature is below 400 degrees Celsius, but the testing laboratories still require such imaging, which makes the costs too high. I also don’t think it’s that dangerous; if it can be left alone, it should be, as otherwise there might be future problems.
It should be necessary, but pressure pipelines are currently under regulation; there are still some large or older plants that have not been covered yet, and these will gradually be brought under management in the future
In my opinion, if it is a pressure pipeline, certification is required. But now both the design firms and the installation companies maintain relationships with the local prosecution authorities. Save wherever possible. That’s basically what it is.
This phenomenon is not surprising; things may get stricter in some time, and once special equipment is elevated to the status of a legal requirement, such incidents will cease or occur very rarely.
