Process: raw gas---heat exchanger----conversion furnace first floor-----heat exchanger------conversion furnace second floor. If the heat exchanger leaks, should the temperature on the second floor increase or decrease?
If the heat exchanger leaks, the temperature of the second layer should drop, because the leakage must be caused by the unexchanged raw gas leaking directly into the second layer of the conversion furnace. The difference between the two temperatures is large, which is equivalent to turning on the cold shock of the second layer catalyst, so the temperature will drop, and the CO content at the second layer outlet will increase.
If it leaks, the CO will not react and will directly enter the second layer. In this case, the CO concentration will increase and the temperature of the wound layer should increase.
