The latex of the rubber tree looks like milk, but it contains a large amount of rubber particles (35%) with sizes ranging from 50 nm to 1 um, as well as other particles, and it tends to coagulate easily. The content of rubber particles is very high (35% + 10%), and the viscosity is also high; it is feasible to use ceramic membrane technology, but the concentration factor is not high, and a considerable amount of water is required for washing. I suggest using a conventional filter press instead, followed by microfiltration membranes (although ceramic membranes can also be used). A large amount of soluble plant proteins will still pass through the ceramic membranes, causing contamination of the subsequent nanofiltration membranes. Moreover, alcohols are unlikely to be retained by nanofiltration membranes, while these membranes perform well in retaining sugars. If it is only at the experimental stage, ceramic membranes combined with nanofiltration can suffice; however, more considerations are needed for industrial production. It is currently in the experimental design phase, with industrial production considered in the future. My current idea is to ultrafilter out the proteins and then concentrate what remains using a nanofiltration membrane. The alcohol compound I want to separate is an inositol analog with a molecular weight of around 200. Is there a better method for separating it using membrane separation? ?
