Liquid nitrogen refrigeration system? Let that expert explain it.
It is mainly used for cooling reaction vessels. In these vessels, liquid nitrogen is circulated through external coils; the temperature inside the vessels needs to be reduced to minus 80 degrees, which requires a liquid nitrogen pump and a temperature control system. I haven’t dealt with this before, so could someone please explain it to me?
I’m not too familiar with it, but the basic principle seems to be similar to that of liquid ammonia refrigeration; however, it seems that an expansion agent needs to be added to reduce energy consumption! :loveliness:
It mainly uses high-pressure N gas to undergo decompression expansion for cooling, by means of an expansion turbine.
It should be to use liquid nitrogen to exchange heat with the medium inside a heat exchanger in order to achieve cooling!
