Currently, there are two chemicals that need to be stored in a temperature-controlled environment. One of them is p-chlorotoluene, with a melting point of 7.2 degrees. For p-chlorotoluene, it is not sufficient to use only polyurethane insulation; steam heating via a high-jacket system or electric heating is necessary; O-chlorobenzonitrile is best dissolved in **furan and then pumped in; it can be used for heating, but it’s not necessary. Just get a hot tub!

How do you control the temperature and melting process when using a heater? I guess it’s also difficult to achieve melting by letting it sit there at a temperature higher than the melting point. You still need to stir or something, so isn’t it the same as just adding it directly?
Solvents with low melting points need to be taken into consideration, and this depends on the local conditions. For materials that tend to solidify at lower local temperatures, heating should be considered. Or, add coils to the storage tank and use a jacket for insulation.
