In fact, for low-temperature conversion, a three-stage or four-stage reaction process yields better results. However, most enterprises in China have followed the approach used by Hongri; Hongri uses a two-stage process, and so others have also adopted this two-stage method without conducting any separate calculations. As a result, the conversion rate is not high, and the level of chloride ions cannot be reduced. Typically, the conversion rate is around 80%, with chloride ion levels ranging from 2.5 to 3.0.
