I’m looking for some basic information on Honeywell DCS, mainly regarding configuration. Since I’m new to this, I’m not familiar with how to configure certain elements; for example, the inputs and outputs of an electric door, what types of pulses exist, and how an electric door can be integrated into interlock logic. Thank you. E_mail: rentian9876@163.com
What HONEYWELL system is the poster using? TDC300? TPS? PKS? H900? The PKS system is commonly used these days, and its configuration details are fully available in the KB (help) section – they’re all included within the system itself. Take a look; there are explanations of the basic logical functions there.
It’s the Honeywell TPS system
I have used TPS; there are training materials available in Tianjin, but they are in the form of several thick books, not in electronic format, so I can’t send them over. However, if you have any questions, I’ll see if I can help you solve them.
I’m not sure if you have used the HC900 DCS system; I am also currently choosing a DCS system. Someone recommended the HC900 to me, and I plan to use it for controlling crystal growth.
Replying to floor 5: I’m sorry, I have not used the HC900 system. Some time ago, when the company needed to acquire new equipment, this system was brought in; I might have forgotten its name, so I did some research on it. To be honest, the difference between the HC900 system and HONEYWELL’s TPS/PKS systems is that the controller capacity of the HC900 system is relatively lower. Additionally, this system is assembled by the manufacturer itself – the cabinets are made locally, while the cards and controllers are purchased from HONEYWELL. Things aren’t cheap either. I personally do not recommend it: lol. As for your crystal growth process, I’m not familiar with it. Replying to floor 6: TPS and PKS are two series of products from HONEYWELL Company. I’m not sure if you’re aware of HONEYWELL’s most famous TDC system; the TPS system is actually a version of the TDC system adapted for use on the WINDOWS platform. PKS is an evolution of the PLANTSCAPE system with which HONEYWELL used to collaborate with AB Company; its card modules are based on the TDC system, allowing them to be used alongside TPS, while the controllers come from the original PLANTSCAPE system.
Thank you. If we use the HC900, it will be used solely for temperature control. We previously used a Siemens DCS system, but the intellectual property rights belong to others; now, any modifications are subject to many restrictions, which is why we want to develop our own system.
If your device doesn’t have many points, the HC900 system can still be used; it is known as a hybrid system. We also use it for controlling the temperature of furnaces. Of course, regarding the configuration of I/O cards/controllers/operating stations, you need to state your own requirements. Additionally, the cabinets are supplied separately; you can make appropriate requests to ensure that the arrangement of the cabinets isn’t too tight, so as to leave space for heat dissipation.
