High-pressure pipelines (≥20 Mpa) require pressure testing. May I ask whether the pressure testing blind plates should be provided by the client or by the construction party? Generally, when compiling material statistics for design purposes, are such pressure-testing materials provided for piping? Even if it is provided by Party A, should the construction unit return it after use?
To be resolved by the construction party itself, and listed as auxiliary materials for construction
The construction unit will handle it. The design does not specify the material for this blind wrench.
It is the responsibility of the construction party, which shall prepare appropriate blind flanges in accordance with the relevant standards
Thank you. But this time it’s different; the project uses high-pressure self-tightening flanges, commonly known as Grayloc, and the construction team does not have such pressure testing blind plates available. So in the end, we had the design team coordinate things, with the manufacturer sending someone to determine the exact dimensions and carry out the production, with the costs covered by Party A. But in reality, the costs should still be borne by the construction party. :)
1. Pressure testing is part of the entire project. Of course, this includes the necessary materials (blind flanges, temporary gaskets, temporary pipes, etc., all to be provided by the contractor). 2. For the selection of blind plates, refer to the blind plate selection chart.
Normally, it is provided by the construction unit, with most being fabricated on-site
The blind flanges for pressure testing must be provided by the construction party
Since the materials required for valve pressure testing are already included in the pricing schedule, the client generally does not provide these materials; it is up to the construction party to arrange for them. The material for this blind wrench will not have such a design issue. The design at most provides a list of options for pressure testing blind plates, and based on this list, the construction party fabricates the required pressure testing blind plates on its own.
It should be the construction company’s responsibility
It’s the responsibility of the construction company; I guess that’s the rule
Of course, it’s the construction company that’s responsible. It seems like your factory has a lot of money
To be resolved by the construction party itself, and listed as auxiliary materials for construction
The pressure testing blind flanges are generally provided by the general contractor, and they should be included in the quotation
