The maximum operating load includes the equipment’s empty weight, the weight of the medium, and the weight of the associated pipes.
Generally, equipment is heavy due to its weight, the weight of water filled inside it, and the effort required to operate it. It is common for the weight of the water to be greater than the weight associated with actual operation. To calculate the weight related to operation accurately, it is necessary to take into account the density of the materials inside the equipment, their saturation level while the equipment is in use, as well as the weight of the insulation materials on the equipment and any external pipelines along with related insulation elements.
