It’s an old issue; the original post can no longer be found, so I’m posting it again to ask about it. I once saw a question regarding members of the technical team who, after becoming moderators, had their scoring range limited to the forums they were in charge of (they couldn’t score in other forums). The intention behind this was probably to allow moderators to focus more on managing the forums under their responsibility, but it’s still a bit inconvenient. At that time, someone suggested that moderators should have the ability to score within the forums they oversee, while retaining their normal scoring rights in other forums. Now that I’ve become an actual moderator, I think that suggestion is quite good. May I ask the administrators whether such a solution is technically feasible? Moderators cannot reduce ratings in other forums; it’s not technically possible. If such a feature were to be added, moderators would be able to assign ratings in other forums just as they can in their own forum. Discussions on this topic are still ongoing these days – the idea is to give moderators the power to assign ratings across all forums, with the actual rating process taking place in those forums themselves. No final decision has been made yet. If it starts, then everyone will be lucky, with over 70 more senior reviewers :)
It isn’t that important where the ratings are given; what matters is that moderators can manage their respective sections effectively and improve their popularity. For the development of the forum, moderators bear even greater responsibilities – by performing their duties well, they can serve others better.
A person’s abilities and energy are limited, but the commitment to serving the people is not; as long as one does their essential work well, their impact can be infinite.
I fully understand the views of the administrators and moderators. As I mentioned in this thread, the intention behind such restrictions is to allow moderators to focus more on managing the sections under their responsibility. In my opinion, everyone has multiple skills; for example, although my field of specialization is chemical engineering machinery, my experience in computer operation and maintenance is much greater than my expertise in that field. Yet when faced with technical problems at work, I still need to seek help from those with a background in chemical engineering. It can be a bit uncomfortable not being able to leave a reward or expression of gratitude for posts that are very helpful to me. Since the method I suggested isn’t technically feasible, the issue of expanding the scope for moderator ratings needs to be discussed carefully. In any case, I will resolutely respect and follow the final decision of the forum’s management.
Rights and obligations are equal; whatever rights are granted, as long as the highest decision-making level can keep control over them. If the moderators give arbitrary comments, their powers can simply be taken away.
The grading privileges for grades 3-5 have been increased, but I’m still not happy about it, because every time I log in and want to grade, it’s not certain how many points I can assign; I might not even be able to grade at all! For example, 30 points were already assigned last night (with a note indicating that 0 points could be given), but this afternoon, when I checked, the available score was only 8 points – I wonder where the other 22 points went? I’ve also encountered situations where the evaluation was completed the previous evening, but the score remained 0 in the morning of the following day – it wasn’t automatically increased to 30 points I’ve encountered even stranger cases: the initial rating was 4, it dropped to 2 after evaluation, and when trying to rate again it became 8 – did it increase on its own? Something like that won’t happen to me, because there aren’t enough posts worth rating – it’s not that I don’t want to rate them, but simply there are too few posts that deserve a rating! ! ! I often encounter this situation. Sometimes, when it’s necessary to give a score, I end up with 0 points and can’t assign any score at all. What’s more embarrassing is that I see materials with good scores, download them, only to find that I have only 1 or 2 points to offer. If I don’t give a score, I’m afraid I’ll forget; but if I do give one, I feel it’s unfair to those creators. It’s really difficult!

Yes. I have encountered this problem too. When will the available evaluation points be replenished? The scores were graded yesterday, and today I saw that the scores given didn’t reach the maximum value.
Regarding the issue of replenishing scores, according to the rules, they are automatically replenished after 24 hours; however, this 24-hour period is calculated based on the time of your last score entry from the day before. For example: the daily total score for grade 2 is 5 wealth, with 1 wealth per session. If your rating record from the day before was: 9 o’clock on February 13th, 1 wealth ； 10:00 on February 13th, 1 Wealth ； 2:14 PM, February 13th, 1 Wealth ； February 13th, 3:15 PM, 1 Wealth ； February 13th, 4 p.m., 1 Wealth. Then your rating score will not be fully replenished until 16:00 on the 21st, at which point 24 hours will have passed since your last rating the day before. If you want to rate at 8 o’clock on February 14th, there will be no available rating values ； If you need to rate at 11 o’clock on February 14th, you will only have 2 points of wealth available for rating, as the two previous ratings were made 24 hours apart, leaving 2 points usable. The same principle applies to other cases; it mainly depends on the scoring interval. For younger students, the daily scoring value is lower, so special attention is paid to when they can be scored again ； Senior friends have a higher rating limit, which gives them more freedom! Don’t think that giving just a little each time is enough to show some remorse; no matter how much you give, it won’t exceed what the management and technical team are receiving. You should know that your rating serves as a way of thanking the poster, providing guidance for others when rating posts and helping them understand the value of those posts. As for adding extra points, if the initial rating is low, someone else will surely add more points (if I see that there’s a need for additional points and the post is of significant value, I will do so). It is recommended that you apply to become a team member first; if you pass the certification, you will be able to do those things you are unable to do at the moment. As the title suggests, personally, I really appreciate HaiChuan’s resource sharing and technical discussions. At first, I didn’t have enough money to download those resources, so I became a VIP member; this allowed me to contribute to the development of the forum, and it was also very helpful for me to download resources. Now, by sharing information and participating in activities as part of integrating into Haichuan, I have received a lot of recognition from the other students there, and my score has been increasing gradually. However, due to the limitations associated with VIP status, the maximum score per evaluation is only 5 points, with 20 points available per day, and it’s not possible to evaluate charm levels. My current score is equivalent to that of a first-year student at Haichuan Junior High, so the gap seems quite large. I also understand that not all VIPs in the forum are the same – some have high scores while others have low ones, so it’s difficult to establish uniform criteria. Well, the issue of secure jobs is also problematic; the technical team members face this issue as well, but the problem for VIPs is more urgent. Suggestion: Could it be allowed to hold two titles at the same time? For example, the original poster has the grade that their points should correspond to displayed alongside their VIP membership status. Regarding the issue mentioned upstairs, it’s technically not feasible; the program only recognizes the main group. The rating permissions for VIPs can be discussed
