Our factory has learned a harsh lesson: a steam pipe leaked, and steam spilled into the cabinet room; the DCS circuit boards were covered in condensation water, which caused the system to stop working. We had to use hair dryers to dry them out for several days! Some boards can no longer be used!
It’s definitely an air conditioner, with constant temperature and humidity control. For the large control room, a central air conditioning system is suitable; for smaller control rooms, cabinet-type air conditioners can be considered. However, the humidity level needs to be checked regularly, and humidification or dehumidification may be necessary. The losses caused by a DCS system shutdown are estimated to be more than enough to cover the air conditioning costs for ten years or even longer. Energy conservation and consumption reduction should not come at the expense of equipment safety.

An air conditioner is enough; it’s not a polar climate, so an air conditioner is necessary.
