The refinery where I work does not allow for venting. Of course, venting is necessary in case of an emergency shutdown, but under normal conditions, such as in the hydrocracking unit where I work, if there are fluctuations in the pressure of the hydrogen pipeline system, venting is not an option; instead, it’s necessary to adjust the hydrogen production volume. Sometimes, after making these adjustments, the amount of hydrogen produced is either too high or too low, requiring further adjustments – which makes the situation very unstable. Actually, sometimes when the stress is high, taking a break for a while can help stabilize things. I wonder if the refineries where everyone is located can vent
Our factory has installed gas holders in the torch unit to recover hydrogen and other flammable gases for reuse; fluctuations in the hydrogen pipeline network cause large variations in the hydrogen production volume. We recommend that your factory also install such recovery devices
