Here are a few possible explanations, for reference only: 1. At startup, the acid level in the acid separator was too low, resulting in insufficient acid in the pump and thus an inability to create a vacuum. The normal liquid level should be no lower than the pump’s central axis. 2. The acid is too dirty, and the liquid supply pipeline of the pump is blocked, resulting in a lack of acid in the pump.
From experience, it’s likely that the acid contamination has clogged the heat exchanger; it is recommended to disassemble the heat exchanger for cleaning.
There is too much acidic sludge, or not enough acidity; it is recommended to disassemble and clean it. . .
The acid level and whether the acid heat exchanger is clogged are one aspect. But based on what the original poster said – that acidity issues don’t occur frequently – I think it’s still necessary to carefully check whether the configuration of the sulfuric acid pipelines is proper.
