There should be one or more fire trucks nearby, and the hoses for extinguishing fires should already be laid out on the ground, to ensure that a water source is available. 3. Depending on the circumstances, several suitable fire extinguishers should be prepared as a precaution. 4. There should be one or two staff members in the area who can alert others in case of an emergency and who can monitor the surroundings at any time. 5. Some fire-fighting tools should also be prepared. When applying for a permit to work with fire, there is usually a form that details all the requirements; just follow those instructions. After all, the factory’s procedures have been tested and proven effective.

Are there any flammable or explosive substances in the area where welding will take place? Is the space suitability analysis for welding satisfactory? Are all the necessary protective tools available? Is the welding environment appropriate for such work, and so on?

Strictly enforce the regulations regarding hot work permits; the person carrying out the hot work and the supervisor must implement appropriate measures, as this is key to ensuring safety during such operations.

Responsibilities of the fire supervisor: 1. The fire supervisor must be familiar with the current process conditions and production procedures, as well as the environment in which work is being carried out. 2. The person in charge of overseeing welding operations must be familiar with methods for extinguishing incipient fires and skilled in using various fire-fighting equipment. 3. Upon receiving the welding permit, it is necessary to check each safety measure to ensure they have been implemented, identify the exact location where welding will take place; only after confirming everything is in order should a signature be given to authorize the welding work. 4. The person in charge of overseeing the use of fire must ensure that heating operations are stopped when they leave the site. 5. Strictly follow all the measures specified in the hot work permit, such as cleaning and purging, installing blind flanges, removing flammable materials from the surrounding area, having more than one type of fire extinguishing equipment on hand, implementing isolation measures, ensuring that a supervisor is present at the site, and checking whether the wind conditions permit hot work to be carried out.
