A refining and chemical project built by Yanchang Petroleum Group with an investment of 6.1 billion yuan was recently launched in Shaanxi. The project will be constructed in two phases. The first phase of the project requires an investment of 4.837 billion yuan, and it involves the construction of 6 sets of facilities capable of producing 1.2 million tons of benzene extract per year, 1.4 million tons of diesel via hydrogenation, and 600,000 tons of gas through distillation. In addition, 5 sets of environmental protection and auxiliary production facilities will be built, including those for desulfurizing dry gas and liquefied gas. The second phase of the project involves an investment of 1.3 billion yuan to build chemical plants for producing ethylbenzene, styrene, polystyrene, methylethyl ketone, and alkylated products. Upon completion of the project, product upgrades will be possible, enabling the production of 90#、95#、97# automotive gasoline that meets Euro III standards, high-quality diesel of 0#、5#、-10# grades, as well as products such as benzene and polypropylene.
1.2 million tons of benzene extraction? Isn’t this a bit too large? Can single-benzene extraction achieve such a size? It’s quite challenging; keep an eye on this project. Could the original poster explain it in more detail? Has construction on this project started yet?
