Water is an excellent solvent, capable of dissolving both ionizable electrolytes and non-ionizable nonelectrolytes. Therefore, ordinary water can contain both types of substances simultaneously. Deionized water: As the name suggests, it is water from which all ions resulting from the ionization of electrolytes in water have been removed, with the exception of hydrogen ions and hydroxide ions. That is, to remove the electrolyte substances dissolved in water. Since the ions produced by the ionization of electrolytes in water increase the water’s conductivity, the purity of deionized water is naturally measured by its conductivity. Deionized water is basically produced by ion exchange. However, deionized water can contain non-electrolytes that cannot be ionized, such as ethanol. Pure water: Pure water is water from which all electrolytes and non-electrolytes have been removed; in other words, it is water from which all non-aqueous substances have been removed. It is basically produced using reverse osmosis. Since in reverse osmosis pretreatment, most of the non-electrolytes are first removed using activated carbon, and conductivity is very easy to measure, the purity of pure water is often also determined by conductivity. However, to obtain high-purity water with extremely high purity, mixed-bed and EDI methods that remove electrolytes are still required. Another method for achieving water purity is distillation; the water produced is known as distilled water. This method primarily aims to remove electrolytes and non-electrolytes with a boiling point significantly different from that of water, and it is unable to remove non-electrolytes with a boiling point similar to that of water. The purity of such water is also measured using conductivity.

It is produced using methods such as electrodialysis, ion exchange, reverse osmosis, distillation, and other appropriate processing techniques. This water is stored in sealed containers, contains no additives, is colorless and transparent, and can be consumed directly.
