Due to the requirements of cathodic protection, insulating joints must be installed at the entrances and exits of the main pipeline
1. Where pipelines in the station emerge above ground, there is a pressure difference with buried pipelines as well as the influence of cathodic protection DC current; therefore, insulating joints must be installed at these emergence points! 2. On the valve chambers and station vent pipes, prevent external currents caused by lightning strikes!
