What is the structure of the heat exchanger in the Casale ammonia synthesis tower? It’s not 122-C. What is the flow direction of the gas in the ammonia synthesis tower? Thank you
Are you asking about the baffle rod-type heat exchanger inside the tower? Its towers now all feature axial radial gas flow
In the built-in heat exchanger of the tower internals, the gas flows in a baffled manner; within the synthesis tower, the gas flows axially-radially, with approximately 10–15% of the gas entering radially at the upper part of the catalyst basket
