I would like to ask everyone how to select the appropriate pump based on the process flow rate
Before selecting a pump, you first need to determine parameters such as the pump type, flow rate, head, and material based on the process requirements. Then, you can choose an appropriate pump by referring to the pump catalogues; the flow rate indicated on the nameplate should be slightly higher than the maximum flow rate of the process fluid, but it shouldn’t deviate too much from the normal operating flow rate, as this would not only be uneconomical but also result in unstable pump operation. As for the backflow issue you mentioned, it’s not very clear; the only practice in some cases is to add a return circuit at the pump outlet to regulate the flow rate.
