It is best not to use a Roots blower. Consider the removal of compression heat.
Most of them use liquid ring compressors, but I have seen some using Roots blowers.

No problem, our unit has always used it this way.
Theoretically speaking, the Roots blower has low pressure requirements in the hydrogen transportation process and can be used (it is also useful in China), and the equipment investment and power consumption are lower than that of the liquid ring type. However, the biggest problem is that hydrogen is a flammable and explosive gas. There is a temperature rise during the compression process of the Roots blower, which poses a great safety hazard.
