I have spent nearly two years working on coal chemical project research and development in a state-owned enterprise. The company does not place much emphasis on technical staff, and the compensation is very low; therefore, I want to seek opportunities in other companies within the same industry. However, due to geographical constraints, there are few job opportunities locally. On the other hand, there are many oil design firms, but I lack experience in design work. Of course, I can learn it quickly. The issue is that although design is currently in high demand and companies are hiring extensively, things might change in a couple of years. So I’m confused – should I switch to design work or stay at my current employer? I would appreciate your insights
