In the chemical plant identification activity, each person can recommend and post a picture of a chemical company (including plants, equipment, etc.). The picture can be brief or detailed, but it must have a certain degree of representativeness. Those who come later will try to identify the plant shown in the picture, and the poster will evaluate those responses (as indicated in the scoring). One point will be awarded for completely correct identifications, along with an explanation of the correct answer. Moderators or engineers are available to make judgments. It’s okay to relax from time to time, but it shouldn’t be strongly encouraged; the forum should primarily focus on technical exchanges and discussions. The identification of chemical plants still relies on experience and intuition; it would be more meaningful to use pictures to illustrate the structure of the equipment and layout diagrams to show the characteristics of the chemical plant arrangement. The original poster’s suggestion is good; it allows those who have never seen these devices to gain some insight as well. However, the person who provides the photo is responsible for explaining the name, purpose, scale, and structure of the device… in short, to give everyone a comprehensive and clear understanding.

To be honest, the development of new technologies, new equipment, and new processes is advancing by leaps and bounds these days! First is the difficulty level – is it possible to start with simpler tasks and gradually increase the complexity? Should some general principles be added (not referring to common devices; they can be variations)? Secondly, it is doubtful how useful one or a few images, no matter how clear they are, can be if there is no accompanying explanation or rationale. However, the original poster’s suggestion is indeed intended to spark further discussion, so I agree with it; yet implementing it still presents some difficulties!
