By the end of June this year, a comprehensive survey of pollution sources will be carried out across the country. This is unprecedented. This census covers a wide range, includes many items, and is highly challenging. This is beneficial for sustainable development, for future generations, and for creating a harmonious society. This should also be good news for environmental technology professionals. Environmental workers can be given even more attention.
It still depends on whether the local authorities are willing to invest; moreover, some polluting enterprises are major taxpayers.
It wasn’t before the end of June; it started in early the year, and now we are at the stage of submitting reports on major pollution sources. It will be almost over by the end of July this year. In a large country like China with a population of over one billion, it’s unacceptable for the Environmental Protection Agency to not be aware of its own situation! Only by understanding one’s own situation can environmental policies and regulations be formulated on a more scientific basis, and energy-saving and emission-reduction plans can be designed in a more scientific and practical way! I just hope that the perfunctory approach of certain regions and units won’t undermine the scientific integrity of the entire census effort!
Some companies prefer to pay a fine rather than take measures to reduce pollution. If the cost of operating such an environmental protection device is 500,000 per use, and the environmental agency comes to inspect them and imposes a fine of 300,000, then I still save some money, haha
