The flow coefficient Kv of a control valve is defined as the volume of water at a temperature of 5–40°C that passes through the valve in 1 hour under a pressure drop of 10 Pa (0.1 MPa). Does Kv have a unit? What is it? I conducted simulations of the flow field inside the control valve, using water as the medium; the resulting values were flow rate Q in m³/h, pressure difference ΔP in kgf/cm², and specific weight γ in gf/cm. http://www.cntcw.com/Doc/data.WebNoteBooks/20060701203125/zs3.gif. The Kv value calculated using the above formulas differs significantly from the theoretical value. Why? ? Is it the unit that’s incorrect, or is there an issue with the calculation formula?
I’ve spent a long time trying to figure it out, but I still don’t understand it. I need it for a project I’m working on now; I would appreciate any help from those who have experience with control valves. Thank you!

Thank you. I’ve seen this before. Have you done any simulations? What software was used to create it? How to obtain the flow rate and pressure values?
