Biodiesel raw material forest bases are being established in Jiangxi

A biodiesel raw material forest base has been established in Jiangxi. Recently, Jiangxi Province was included by the **Forestry Bureau and China National Petroleum Corporation in the planning scope for “forest-oil integration” project development. CNPC is making the preliminary preparations, and plans to initiate the construction of a biodiesel raw material forest base covering 20,000 to 40,000 mu in the Jiangxi project area this year. 　　Jiangxi is a key national base for the development of forestry biomass energy, with the Chinese honey locust being the main raw material tree species. Yudu, Ganxian, Ruijin, and Shicheng in Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province, will be included in the first batch of pilot projects for biodiesel raw material forest bases across the province. The fruits of the Chinese ash tree are used as raw materials for the direct production of crude oil; this method results in low processing costs and high oil yield, making it a safe and clean biofuel.
