Those who have used SHENGU S1800 to 2450 fans, please let me know: can SHENGU’s fan noise be reduced to below 80 decibels? If there are any devices that would be suitable, as well as some basic principles of the equipment
We used the Drop Shen Drum S1900; no noise reduction measures were applied, and it seems fine outside the machine room:lol :lol :lol
I have used the Shengyu 2450; noise reduction on the fan itself poses difficulties during maintenance. Since there are no staff on duty in the fan room, noise reduction on the fan itself is pointless. As long as sound-absorbing and sound-insulating materials are installed on the inner walls of the fan room, the noise outside the fan room remains very low.
The S2450 model is made of welded steel, while housings of grade S1800 and below are cast. As a result, fans of grade 1800 and above have poorer vibration-damping properties and generate more noise. In the past, we used an S2450 model for the air intake, equipped with a filter and a silencer, but the noise level was still high; it’s unlikely to drop below 80 decibels. As mentioned earlier, applying sound-absorbing materials inside the machine room and spraying polyurethane insulation material on the inlet and outlet pipes of the fans might yield some improvement.
The S2450 model is welded from steel, while the housings of models below S1800 are cast. Therefore, for fans of model 1800 and above, I agree with the view expressed on the 4th floor; I have visited Shenyang Gear Pump Co., Ltd. on two occasions!
MS is mainly the noise generated by the motor! Are soundproof enclosures useful?
The noise mainly comes from air friction and the sound of the gearbox, along with the noise from the impeller and motor.
