Is it better for small boilers to use coal or oil?

We need to purchase a small boiler for heating the laboratory – which one is good!
From an environmental and automation perspective, burning oil is better.....
This issue needs to be considered comprehensively: coal-fired boilers are inexpensive but require heavy labor and are not environmentally friendly. Although oil-fired boilers are highly automated and environmentally friendly, they are machines that consume oil, so the costs need to be taken into consideration.
For laboratory use, it is better to employ oil or gas as fuel for several reasons. Firstly, the power output is low, so the fuel consumption is minimal and therefore affordable. Secondly, the operation of the boiler is highly automated, which allows for better control of the temperature of the working medium, as well as faster startup times； Third is environmental protection; the location of the laboratory is certainly in an area with strict emission standards.
