RT is one of the NDE (Non-destructive test) methods, namely radiographic examination, or X-ray testing. There are also UT, MT, and PT, which are ultrasonic examination, magnetic particle examination, and liquid penetrant examination respectively; these are all methods used to detect internal defects in materials or devices.
