Problems in the boiler market

From a product perspective, this issue leads to different outcomes. In the case of industrial boilers, especially those used for domestic purposes, competition is extremely fierce. The profits generated by these small boilers have been very low over the years. Those involved in the industrial boiler industry surely know that there are a great number of manufacturers in this field. Generally speaking, business conditions for these factories are not very good. Moreover, there are many foreign products available, such as those from the United States, Japan, and South Korea, not to mention those from older European countries. Many state-owned factories are having a hard time just by focusing on boiler production. Only those established companies with long-standing product lines and strong capabilities fare better; overall, however, the situation is not great. With the sharp rise in oil and gas prices, companies that previously did not produce coal-fired boilers are facing even greater difficulties. As for medium and large-sized boilers, rapid development of electricity generation over the years has also promoted the growth of boilers used for power generation. Domestic manufacturers of such boilers are doing well, especially the three major boiler manufacturers like Jiguo and Huaguang. There are also boiler manufacturers with expertise in CFB technology. Currently, environmental concerns and rising energy prices have contributed significantly to the development of cleaner combustion boiler technologies; CFB technology is an example of this. It has developed rapidly over the past decade. In fact, this technology existed earlier, but due to limited market demand, it was not fully developed nor scaled up. Things are different now: countries around the world are competing to develop larger-scale versions of this technology, giving rise to various variants. In China, many existing industrial boiler manufacturers are switching to smaller CFB systems to meet current market demands. Another factor is that, due to environmental and price pressures, many existing boilers are being upgraded. In short, it can be said that companies that prepared early and have a wider range of products will fare better, while those that react slowly will have a harder time.
