At present, there is a shortage of coal for power generation. I would like to discuss the issue of energy consumption in the boilers used in fertilizer plants – what approaches and methods can be employed to save energy and reduce consumption?
There are various ways to reduce energy consumption: 1. From a process perspective, the optimal amount of air intake can be adjusted; 2. From the perspective of the equipment, ensure the heat exchange efficiency of the air preheater, economizer, and superheater, thereby improving the long-term stable operation of these devices ; 3. Improve the quality of raw materials, recycle slag and ash, and reuse them as much as possible ; 4. Improve the heat exchange efficiency of circulating water, etc.
By modifying the boiler to burn the off-gases from fertilizer plants, not only is the issue of waste gas utilization resolved, but fuel savings are also achieved, resulting in energy conservation and reduced consumption.
Last year, our factory upgraded a 35T boiler of the high-low pressure differential bed type that uses both coal and miscellaneous fuels; it is said that this upgrade has brought good results, saving several million dollars per year!
