Other issues, such as the removal of harmful impurities like arsenic and fluoride, as well as the high temperature of the sulfuric acid used in spraying, mean that the performance will not be as good as it is when the temperature is lower. There is another issue that isn’t related to the processing aspects: 50% sulfuric acid is, in theory, considered a dilute acid (acid with a concentration of over 75% is classified as concentrated sulfuric acid). So what is the use of such a sulfuric acid with an intermediate concentration?
The acid temperature also needs to be considered in order to determine the appropriate material for the empty tower; the choice of material is what’s really crucial!
